Dental Fillings

Fillings are required to repair teeth that have been damaged by dental diseases (cavities), or trauma.  This process includes freezing the teeth that need to be filled to ensure maximum comfort, removal of diseased tooth structure, and bonding the material to the tooth to recreate the shape of the tooth.

Sensitivity after the placement of fillings is common and is usually related to the size of the damage to the tooth.

Prolonged and/or worsening sensitivity may mean your tooth requires further treatment.
